London Wetland Centre- Barnes

T

he Nursery travelled on the Victoria and Hammersmith Line tube & a bus to get to London Wetland Centre.

They took part in Pond Dipping and made up a song including creatures they had found in the pond.

We also saw lots of birds including cranes, ducks and swans. We also saw some funny cartoon ducks.

We used binoculars in a bird watching hide to get a closer look at the birds. We learnt so much and also were very well behaved.

Thank-you to all the volunteers who took part.

Egg satic! Susan’s Cafe

The children arrived back after Easter talking about their chocolate Easter eggs. We decided to follow this interest and set up an egg cafe.

Susan was in charge and the children could choose to have boiled, scrambled, fried, poached eggs or an omlette. They also named the different parts of the egg and buttered their own toast. How do you like your eggs? The children also made clay/straw nests and an oval shaped clay egg.

They also tried to use their knives and forks.
